Mcleodganj or Mcleod Ganj is a suburb of Dharamshala in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. Situated on the Dhauladhar ranges at an elevation of about 2,082 m above the sea level it is also known by the name of “Little Lahsa” due to the large populations of Tibetan Refugees. The Dalai Lama settled in Mcleodganj in 1960 and since then the town is getting popular on the international arena. The town is also very famous for its Buddhist monasteries. Among them the most important Buddhist sites in the town are Tsuglagkhang or Tsuglag Khang, the Dalai Lama Temple. Namgyal Monastery, Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts is the other major attractions of the town.
